Sacred dance & life practices to awaken feminine wisdom

When Spring comes, it is time for the life which has rested dormant in the bosom of the earth during winter, to slowly re-emerge. In harmony with this natural cycle, it is the right moment for us to let our inner world re-awaken & bloom. It is time to vision clearly our intentions toward creation & manifestation.

Fusing contemporary body science, movement energetics, breath work, seed mantras, circle practices for women, ritual, and mystical eastern dance techniques drawn across time and worlds, this healing experience opens the heart, releases the pelvis, strengthens the core, roots the feet and moves the soul. We dance the trance of release, letting go of what we don’t want to hold in the body; we build inner softness & strength; we listen to our inner voice; we take a journey to release all tension & to connect with inner power. Through the therapeutic practices of this work, we have the opportunity to listen inside slowly & deeply, we have the opportunity to open a golden door within to regenerate our internal feminine forces.

In this workshop we are going to explore the delicate balance between emptiness and fullness, nothingness & our highest potential; we reveal hidden layers of our dormant wisdom, awakening the wise woman - the creator of our deepest dreams, and the highest version of who we envision ourselves to be. We receive keys for integrating ourselves as mystical beings in everyday mundane reality - from the outside, we appear the same as always, but reconnecting to our divine source through these unique practices, we receive a map toward deeper freedom & ecstasy.

Through our collective empowerment as women, we support the healing of our selves & mother earth; we send a gentle, powerful whisper to the world which ripples out the possibility for a new earth consciousness amongst humanity.

PROGRAM INCLUDES:

• Earth practices (slow movements with a focus on deep inner listening & release)
• Movement medicine & energetics, physical training & breath re-patterning
• Contemporary body science & sacred physical geometry
• Sacred feminine teachings & evolutionary circle practices
• Ritual & mystical eastern dance drawn across time & worlds

HOLISTIC DANCE LANGUAGE PRACTICES:

• Regenerate feminine life force & vital energy
• Release unhealthy physical patterns & tension

Barcelona returns as one of the first cities to host World Press Photo, an exhibition showcasing winning photographs from photojournalism awards and global contests in digital storytelling.

Barcelona wants to offer visitors an experience that goes beyond just looking at photos, and the educative area of the Photographic Social Vision Foundation offers a varied programme of supplementary activities and guided tours.

Fiestas de Gràcia

This year like all years, the Fiestas de Gràcia return to the city to transport you to another world. This amazing fiesta, celebrated this year from the 15th to the 21st of August in the Gràcia neighbourhood, is one of the most anticipated events of the year and sees a week-long celebration of activities, concerts, and non-stop partying that has been going on ever since the start of the 19th century.

During this week, the neighbourhood will put on a large number of activities like live music performances, workshops, food stalls, traditional fire runs and other local celebrations, etc… Here are some of the most important events of this year’s festival:

  • The opening proclamation and official start of the festival
  • Live music concerts
  • Foam festival
  • Habanera concerts
  • Daily Casteller shows (traditional human towers)
  • Traditional fire runs
  • Parades
  • Food stalls
  • Children’s games

But without doubt, the most anticipated event in the festival which encourages hundreds to make their way to the party, is the competition for best decorated street. During the Fiestas de Gràcia, the main streets of the neighbourhood are decorated by those that live there in spectacular themes that make the roads almost completely unrecognisable. These decorations are handmade throughout the year by neighbourhood locals, painstakingly dedicated to taking home the much sought after title for their very own avenue.

On top of all these amazing events and activities, the festival will also host incredible free music concerts around the neighbourhood: spectacular performances in genres such as rumba, rock, jazz, disco, etc… With so many types of music being performed, there will be something for everyone through the week.

  • Below is a brief summary of just some of the great performances on the weekend:
Friday 17th: Joan Colomo, Rombo, Marilluïssa, Arrels de Gràcia
  • Saturday 18th: Melenas, Power Burkas, Mourn, Aliment, Dj Waterparties
