Camp Nou and FC Barcelona Museum

0

This is Catalonia’s most popular museum, and perhaps the best football museum in the world. You’ll find historical archives of Barça football strips, sporting material and trophies, as well as an art gallery. The football memorabilia collection details the team’s history from its early days to the current season.

FCB has been luring in masses of fans since 1957 when its home ground was relocated to Les Corts, hence the name Camp Nou, meaning the New Camp. However, it wasn’t until 1984 that the museum was incorporated into the site. FCB once again set the standard for the rest of the football world to follow. Today more than 1,200,000 people visit each year making it the most visited museum in Cataluyna.

The museum isn’t just a football fanatics dream, it’s also a history lesson that guides you through Barça’s ups and downs. You can learn all about its success as a top football club, its association with the UNICEF charity, FCB as a symbol of Catalan culture and the harder times of the Club’s life.

If you fork out the extra Euros to see the stadium you’ll see a whole lot more! The tour includes panoramic views of the stadium, taking you few feet away from the club manager’s nerve-racking seat, through the team’s changing rooms, press room and even to the on site chapel where many prayers have been passionately whispered.  You will literally step where thousands of world class players have stood waiting to make history. Standing at the edge of the pitch, kitted out in your new FCB strip, you can imagine being a Barça player reciting the slogan “somos uno”, we are one.

After this FCB experience you will realize that Barça truly is “mes que un club”!

Don’t miss Barça’s Champions League game against Manchester City on 18th March and against Real Madrid in El Clasico on 22nd March.
