Christmas Celebrations at St George’s!
Yes, we agree, it is far too early for Barcelona to be hanging up their Christmas lights already. However, with only 6 weeks to go, there is no harm in popping some dates in the diary for your Catalonian Christmas calendar this year.
St George’s Church are wasting no time preparing the festive celebrations, and invite you to the following events they are organising in the run up to Christmas…
Christmas Card Sale
From 1st November through December, be sure not to miss out on the official St George’s Church magical Christmas cards. The cards have been designed by members of the community to support the Church, and are available for sale at St George’s.
Choral Evensong.
A peaceful celebration of music and faith. The Choral Evensong will be sung by the beautiful St George’s Singers this November.
Sunday 19th November at 19.00.

Sort out your presents once and for all at the Christmas Fair at St George’s Church. All are welcome to come along or set up a stall on Saturday 2nd December 12-4pm.

Open Mic Wednesdays at Shenanigans Irish Bar
With a mixed crowd of locals and tourists, great craic and a fantastic atmosphere we invite you to come and witness or even participate in the best Open Mic Night Sessions this city has to offer every Wednesday from 9pm!
Wanna get involved or just come for the craic?
Whether you'd like to participate by inging solo, a group of you singing, musicians, beat boxing, anything that is a true crowd pleaser is welcome :D. Our relaxed and friendly atmosphere gives you the chance to showcase your talent.

Open mic begins at 9pm so get there early. We have a great selection of draught beers at one of Barcelona’s lowest prices, lagers at 3€ and ales & stouts at 4€
Live Music Fridays & Saturdays at Shenanigans Irish Bar
Music is an essential ingredient in the operation of any great pub and our intention is to bring an injection of all styles, week in week out. From traditional Irish bands with upbeat tempos which compel you to dance a jig, clap your hands and stamp your feet; to jazz, blues, bluegrass and all the way to motown spilling on to the streets grabbing the attention of passers-by.

With a mixed crowd of locals and tourists, great vibes and a fantastic atmosphere, we invite you to come and witness a seductive live music event every Friday and Saturday night at Shenanigans Irish Pub. Come and meet amazing new people and artists from all over the world and enjoy what the night has to offer, free of charge. Stay posted to hear which musicians will be playing each week. And of course, you’ll be able to enjoy our pints of lager for 3€ and stouts/ales for 4€ so we really have your weekend planned for you!

The University of Barcelona invites you to a mountain of musical celebrations taking place this year. Celebrating its 31st edition, the Cicle de Música offers over 6 months of concerts displaying some of the University's finest musical talent that you won’t want to miss out on.
Between 26th October and 14th June, the University is hosting an enormous range of performances. From classical to contemporary, from university choir to opera, all acts will take place at 20.00 in the History building, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 585. Keep an eye out for seasonal Spanish celebrations coming up too!
