Contemporary Creation Festival in Poblenou
This is the 15th edition of the Contemporary Creation Festival in the neighbourhood of Poblenou. From 20 to 23 October, Escena Poblenou festival will encourage innovation through disciplines such as theater, dance, clown, circus, object theater, street theater and performance.
You'll have to pay for hall performances. Most of street shows are free of charge. Full program here.

Find out more »Barcelona Improv Group International Comedy Festival (BIG IF 4)
This November 2nd to 5th you will have the chance to see some of the world’s best improv comedians on stage right here in Barcelona at The BIG IF, Europe’s largest English language improv festival. Now in its 4th year, the festival brings together over 150 improvisers from more than 20 countries, who will take to the stage across 4 nights to deliver 20 original comedy shows. No scripts, costumes or sets, just original fast paced comedy built on audience suggestions.
Alongside Barcelona’s own Impro Acatomba and The Modestos, you’ll have the opportunity to see North American duo Rocket Sugar Factory, Irishman Neil +1 who improvises his entire show with a random audience member, multi award winning British team the Maydays, and Texas based veterans Parallelogramophonograph who will perform an improvised French Farce. Plus, for musical lovers there will even be a fully improvised musical!

The talented Dulo degli Archi present:
Clásicos de Bolsillo
Can you imagine Beethoven's 5th symphony performed by just two instruments? Geert Krosenbrink (violin) and Paul Stouthamer (cello) present their own interpretation of some of the greatest works in the repertoire of classsical music.
A glass of cava and carquinyolis biscuits will be served after the performance, which takes place in the spectacular Galería Ignacio de Lassaletta.

Duo del Archi are:
Paul Stouthamer - cello– Renowned musician, cellist, arranger and composer. He has performed his works in Austria, the Netherlands, France and Spain.
Geert Krosenbrink - violin – Soloist in the Symphonic Orchestra of Sant Cugat. He has also performed with Stevie Wonder and Led Zeppelin.

Festival Mil·lenni 18 presents a diverse programming styles suitable to satisfy all audiences. The festival features concerts spread across forty different scenarios Barcelona from this November to May 2017 and there are still some names to be confirmed. The sites for the performances will remain the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Auditori, the Palau de la Música and other venues such as Razzmatazz, Apolo, Bikini or BARTS to which this year adds El Molino and Casino L'Aliança. The genres of music spread from classical music to rock to international pop. Some big names in the line up include Jain, The Devine Comedy and many more. Surely there is something to see for everyone.

“The Comic Least Likely To Be Heckled” -The Irish Post
To round up its Union of Craic at the Shamrock this Autumn, Guiriness Comedy is presents Martin Mor. He’s a fellow Northern Irelander (Coleraine), with a big beard and even bigger laughs!
Circus-performer-turned-comedian, Mor has 30 years of experience in the UK and Irish comedy circuits, but he also performs worldwide. His most notably bizarre stand-up gigs include an Italian prison and Mount Everest!
Hailed as the comedian’s comedian, Martin has written for and performed with the likes of Frankie Boyle, Lee Evans, Steve Coogan…need we say more?
This will be a full house event so make sure you buy your tickets online in advance, share the facebook event and come early on the night. Walk-ins may be standing room only.

The Lovely Miss Q presents her third album, Horum Memoriam. Her suggestive electronic style whispers nostalgia and magic, and reaches out towards a future that hasn’t yet decided whether to be utopian or dystopian; it hovers in the potential realm of becoming.
Dreams and memories, urban melancholy and existential droplets of awareness shine through the lyrics and instrumental accompaniment.
This show at Sala Hiroshima promises to be more than just a concert, as Miss Q will be accompanied by talented collaborating artists. Her visual partner Madame Oui Oui is back, ably handling the visuals in a set designed by Kike Blanco. He will also be managing the lighting, adding another note to this orchestra of sensations. Pong Toys, who has participated on previous tracks from Miss Q’s repertoire including ‘Tirol’ and ‘Introducing the Lovely Miss Q’ presents a new character, especially created for this album. As for the live sound captain, El Mo steers the helm of what looks set to be a spectacular voyage for all.

Sephardic Songs at Galeria Lassaletta
Sing to me Galanica: Evoéh’s third album reveals the magic the Sephardic woman’s voice. Singing poems and reworking traditional music are the two main pillars of this project, which explores the border between classical and popular art. Evoéh is like a tree with different branches. For this occasion it is presented in a duo format, with Ariana Barrabés on vocals, psalter and tambourine and Jesus Olivares on guitar.
Cava and carquinyolis will be served after the performance, which takes place in the elegant Galería Lassaletta.

“Let the Music Play” with Barcelona Improv Group
In the words of the great Barry White, Barcelona Improv Group presents “Let the Music Play”
Join us for a musical extravaganza his November 25th as BIG takes inspiration from top tunes and sound effects, all randomly picked by a DJ with over 400 tracks. BIG will dare to enter the stage completely blank and trust the music to guide them to scenes and stories. An Arabian flute might seduce a man to find peace in the desert, an underwater aria could inspire a story about a couple lost in the ocean of their daily life or maybe a little bit of Beethoven will take us back to the 1800s.
"On and on and on and on...", to wherever the groove takes them!

St. George’s Christmas Fair
St. George's Church will be hosting a lovely Christmas market November 26th from 12:00 to 16:00. Come in and enjoy the Christmas spirit with lots of fun activities. These exciting activities include raffles, cards, hot lunches and barbecue, crafts, British markets, seasonal plants and much much more. It is an event for the whole family and there will be plenty for everyone to enjoy.
St. George's Church is an English-speaking Anglican church in the Bonanova area. They have over 30 different nationalities represented among their congregation, including Spanish and Catalan. They come from all different walks of life.
