Fira de Santa Llucía
Barcelona’s main Christmas market is open from the end of November to the 23rd Dec, giving everyone plenty of time to get their Christmas shopping sorted. You'll find traditional nativity scenes, hand crafted jewellery, artisan gift ideas and plenty of festive inspiration for your friends and family. It is located in front of the Cathedral, in Plaça de la Seu.

Barcelona Improv Group's Workshops will be having their graduation shows coming up in the next few weeks. The students have been fine-tuning their skills and now it's time to show them off. The students of BIG School of Improv are finally ready to show you what they've got!
Do you want to see some lively, enthusiastic new improvisers working together to create? Then come and see our students at Tinta Roja on December 2nd and 16th.
Admission is 5€ at the door and reservations are not required. Come grab a drink and enjoy a night of fun and new adventures.
Drap-Art’16: International Festival of Recycling Art of Catalonia
If you are once for art or if you are looking to experience some of the new ways recycled Catalan art looks now, come to Drap-Art'16, on display from December 16th to December 31st.
Drap-Art'16 is the international festival of the recycling art of Catalonia. This years collection has been curated to showcase some of the best works from this festival's 20 year history. The collection is large with over 60 artists and more than 12o individual pieces. After a show in Re: New Festival in Pittsburgh, USA, the exhibition is ready to show off for Barcelona.
In addition to seeing the artworks, there will be a few events held revolving around this art-form. From a fashion show celebrating the internationality of the show to live music to debates, there will be plenty to experience with this exhibition.
The show will be on display at at the Center for Contemporary Culture, CCCB, Macba, Arts Santa Mònica, Plaza Real, Plaza dels Angels and La Rambla.

Barcelona International Art Fair
Barcelona is known for its artistic flair and creativity. A display of both established and emerging artists will be open in the heart of Barcelona for two days this December. Showing at the Museu Maritim, this fair will feature the best in contemporary art from both local and international artists. This is a great cultural event, and perfect if you are still looking for that special Christmas gift, with prices catering to every budget.
With over 100 artists showing their work, there will be something for everyone's taste with paintings, sculptures, and drawings amongst the mediums on show.
Entry on the opening night will cost €10. However, there is no entry fee on Sunday, so put the date in your diaries!

The fifth edition of the Barcelona Italian Film Show - MCIB, will take place from 16 to 21 December at the Cinemas Verdi in Barcelona. The entrance to the projections of the MCIB is free, with limited capacity.
The challenge of the MCIB is to make Barcelona a privileged platform for the dissemination of the best Italian cinema in Spain.
The MCIB proposes a unique formula in the world cinema scene, since the films to be screened in Barcelona represent a selection of the best Italian cinema that has gone through this year's Berlin, Cannes, Locarno, Venice, Toronto and London Festivals.

Come see Barcelona Improv Group's last show of the year, the Greatest Story Never Told, December 17th. Be prepared to laugh and enjoy an exciting night of holiday themed improv. Come and see a new holiday story as opposed to the classics like Love Actually or A Christmas Carol which everyone knows by heart. The story could go from the grinch to santa himself. Enjoy an evening of unscripted comedy and theatre before we say good riddance to 2016.
The show will be at Tinta Roja. Doors will open at 20:30 and the show starts at 21:00. Enjoy the wonderful season of giving with improv.

Here comes one of Barcelona's best winter dance festivals: Matinée Winter Festival. This coming December 25th, Matinée's last grand event of 2016 will happen at Razzmatazz Club. This is the sixth year that they are hosting a winter dance festival. No longer do you have to travel to Ibiza or further to experience a quality, international clubbing night, you can fine all this at the Festival.
Matinée Group, the company putting on this festival, is committed to creating and hosting events where international crowds can come enjoy a night of dancing, clubbing and good music. Their goal is to make a fun-filled environment regardless of nationality, sexual orientation, age or any other identity.
Expect some wild performances and thumping parties. Entrance is 20 euro and pick up your tickets here.
Find out more »KLEZMER & JAZZ MANOUCHE · Robindro Nikolić Trío at Galería Lassaletta
Robindro Nikolić is a renowned classical clarinetist, formerly with the Barcelona Gipsy Klezmer Orchestra, and member of projects such as Estació del Este and Ars Vulgaris. He performs with two collaborators from the Estació del Este, offering an accomplished repertoire of their favorite pieces from the klezmer, jazz manouche and Yugoslavian swing traditions.
Cava and carquinyolis will be served after the performance, which takes place in the elegant Galería Lassaletta.

The New Year is upon us and it´s time to reflect on the year that was before starting all over again. That's just what BIG will be doing in their first show of 2017 as they look to one lovely audience member to share with us their 2016 and see their stories brought to life.
Then, with all that nostalgia out of our systems, it will be time to wipe the slate clean and start again from scratch!
