“A Taste of Sónar + D by Mazda” presents a unique audiovisual experience
The +D offshoot of the mighty Sónar festival starts warming up with a unique performance that explores the audiovisual dimension of 30 crystal glasses. Canadian artist Myriam Bleau's "Autopsy.glass" is a performance that explores the sonic and visual possibilities of glass. Manipulating the glasses until they break, some with delicacy and others with violence, the artist obtains a range of sounds that can be light and resonant or sharp and abrupt. "Autopsy.glass" is a show where the harmony between sound, image and performance is perfectly tuned.
Multi-instrumentalist, composer and digital artist, Myriam Bleau explores the limits of digital creation and performance by creating live and tangible audiovisual systems. She has presented her works and projects in festivals in Europe and America and has received a special mention of the jury in the Prix Ars Electronica, the most prestigious prize in digital art, for his work Soft Revolvers.
It's the first of this season's tech-shows programmed by the cycle "A Taste of Sónar + D by Mazda", which deepen the sound and light dimensions of space through advanced visual and sound devices, disruptive technologies and new scenic experiences.
Entry is free, but you need to sign up here as space is limited.

Being self-employed, or “autónomo” in Spain is a more than ideal subject for a music comedy, in fact it’s almost surprising that this is the first time such a concept has been brought to the stage.

With one hand reaching ahead and the other on his mobile phone, like everyone else today, he will be forced to take charge of his own life: and self-employment is the only way forward. “Autonomos, the Musical” is a comedy that recounts the adventures of a thirty-something freelancer trying to survive against the cruel Tax Agency, clients with obsessive-compulsive disorder and a very odd accountant…

Find out more »Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry
Lee 'Scratch' Perry has decided to take a break from Jamaica in March and tour around Spain, performing again after the success of his previous times in Spain. His Barcelona concert will be on March 25.
Lee Perry has toured Europe, congregating and blessing both old and new fans with his melodies. The "Upsetter" continues to look towards the future, making music reminiscent of African roots but at the same time reaching into the immensity of outer space.
