La Fira de Santa Llúcia
The main Christmas market in Barcelona is open until the 24th December, which gives everyone lots of time sort their Christmas shopping. La Fira de Santa Llúcia is located in front of Barcelona's Cathedral, in Plaça de la Seu, just off Via Laietana.
Many stalls sell traditional Catalan Christmas ornaments. These include nativity scenes, and all the items people need to make their own from scratch or add to an existing one. The base is a mossy ground. The simplest ones have a stable, manger, and figures of baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Larger ones include rural details like duckponds or shepherds with their sheep, and three kings with their gifts.
Other stalls sell Christmas decorations. There are large Christmas trees, and piles of holly mistletoe and brighly coloured evergreens. You can also find Christmas gifts here, especially handcrafted items like jewellery, ceramics and artisan clothing.
It is open every day from 10.30am-8.30pm, and until 8.30pm at weekends.

Raluy Circus
The Raluy circus has been coming to Barcelona for the last 16 years, offering a classic circus experience with a different twist every time. The clowns have red noses and cry huge crocodile tears, the tightrope walkers make you hold your breath, and the acrobats' mind-boggling stunts leave you searching for invisible wires that probably aren't there.
Enjoy the "human cannonball", laugh at the self-depricating humour of the clowns, appreciate the dexterity of the jugglers, and be prepared for some modern circus sketches involving a lazer light show. This new season show includes international performers and plenty of fun for all the family.
Show times 12:30, 17:00 and 19:30. You'll find family discounts and other special offers online.
