Post & Shipping
Spain’s national postal service is Correos, get your stamps or ‘sellos’ for your postcards in a ‘Tabac’ or a post office and they will cost 0.60€. Post to the UK will generally take less than a week and for places outside Europe allow two weeks.
If you’re receiving post in Spain make sure you tell the sender to put the postcode on the letter, it will arrive a lot quicker. Postcodes are 6 digits long. A Spanish address should look like this:
Carrer de Pamplona 89, 3º, 1º
If you are sending lots of things or larger packages then you may want to have it shipped rather than putting it in the normal post, it that case you will be using a private company such as FedEx, UPS or Parcel Force (from the UK to Spain), both of these will cost more but you're parcel can be tracked, you can send larger items and overall it will be safer as Spanish Correos do not offer a service for fragile parcels and even if you pay a bit more for correo certificado you can still not guarantee that the parcel will arrive unfortunately!
