Arriving in Barcelona
Getting to the centre
There are a different ways to get from Barcelona Airport to the centre; taxis in Barcelona are generally good value and it will cost you approximately 25€. Cheaper options include the train, Barcelona airport bus and the normal buses. The airport bus is an express service and it is very efficient and regular. It runs from the airport to Plaça Catalunya via Plaça Espanya, and costs approximately 5€ each way. The regular bus number 46 or N17 night bus also goes to the airport for the price of a single trip ticket. Alternatively you can take the train from the airport to Clot, Passeig de Gracia or Barcelona Sants; this is also cheaper than the airport bus, especially if you are buying a T10 travel card which you can use for the buses and metros throughout your trip.
Girona airport is a lot smaller than Barcelona El Prat. The city of Girona is to the east of Barcelona. It receives a lot less flights from the UK, its main carrier is Ryanair, although since winter 2011 they have started flying directly to Barcelona airport.
The airport is only 30 minutes from the centre of Girona so it is easy to visit Girona or stop over there before travelling to somewhere else. The bus into Barcelona city centre takes approximately 1hr 15minutes and this is the best way to travel, as a taxi will set you back around 80€.
Reus airport is even smaller and even further away from Barcelona than Girona airport; Reus airport is located over 100km to the south west of Barcelona. Ryanair also have flights to Reus from various UK airports including London Luton and Stansted, Birmingham and Liverpool.
In order to get to Barcelona from Reus airport you have two options. Get a taxi into Reus Train Station where you can catch the train to Barcelona. Or you could get the bus from Reus airport to Barcelona airport and then use the Barcelona airport transport links to get into Barcelona city centre.
