If you are just visiting Barcelona, forget the car. Barcelona has a good public transport system with a well integrated network of buses, trams and metro. Getting to Barcelona centre is easy, as it is well communicated by metro and bus. Airport buses regularly depart from Pl. Catalunya. The best way to travel in Barcelona is by metro. Remember to buy a T10 ticket, which gives you 10 trips by bus, metro or tram at 40% off the price of a single ticket. The price for a single ticket in Nov 2011 is 1,45€ and a T10 is 8,25€.
