Theatres in Barcelona

Whilst in Barcelona you may want to catch as many live shows as possible, and there are a lot of theatres in Barcelona which offer a wide range of different performances form ballet to comedy and opera to pantomime. There are no Barcelona theatres that only show performances in English, but there is a healthy scene of English language companies who regularly present some excellent shows, usually at the Riereta Theatre. The Gran Teatre Liceu on La Rambla presents operas which are frequented by an international audience all year round, in the beautiful and newly restored opera theatre; you can dress up, sit back and enjoy an opera in one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world.
