Gracia is one of the coolest districts in Barcelona and its where all the hipsters hang out drinking claras and watching live music. The atmosphere here is relaxed and life moves at a slower pace without the party goers you can find in the centre so sleeping will be much easier here without all of the noise.

Gracia used to be a separate town from Barcelona but gradually as Barcelona expanded the two areas have joined together but Gracia still retains a distinct character, very different to that which you will find in the centre. By sleeping in Gracia you see a different side to Barcelona, you may find yourself getting so lost there that you never even make it into the centre! There are loads of great hostels and cheap accommodation such as Hotel la Ciutat in the northern area from where you can walk up to one of the most famous sights in Barcelona, Park Guell, or leisurely wander the streets and squares of Gracia.
