Museu Europeu d’Art Modern (MEAM) is hosting blues and classical concerts until the end of March, tickets include entrance to museum allowing you to experience high calibre art and music together. Sitting at your own table, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere, you can see blues and swing on Friday evenings at 6pm or if you’re a fan of classical music you can enjoy a concert on Saturday, also at 6pm.

Blues, Swing and related styles
For 14 euros you can enjoy a combined experience of a blues and swing music and entrance to the museum. Each Friday holds a very different line-up, the performers range from two-piece to six-piece bands, each using different instruments and playing different styles. Whether you’re into classic blues, power blues, Texan blues or swing, if you’re a blues fan there will be something for you.

Classical nights
With movements spanning from the seventeenth to the twentieth century, each Saturday holds a different experience: opera singers, string quartets and classical guitarists are just some of the different types of performers. For 19 euros you can enjoy hearing pieces from your favourite composers while drinking tea, coffee or cava. Entrance to the museum is also included.

The Museum
The MEAM exhibitions on figurative art from the 20th and 21st centuries and it’s located in the heart of the charming el Born neighbourhood, in el Palau Gomis. It’s permanent collection is made up of four sections: contemporary figurative art, 20th century sculpture, 20th century Catalan sculpture and art-deco. There is also currently an exhibition on Josep Llimona (1864-1934), one of Catalonia’s most outstanding artists from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
