A big welcome to ACCORD –  new concept for electronic music in the Catalonian capital.
Their aim is to bring new and interesting electronic music to Barcelona and entertain and educate music-lovers with intelligent, dance-floor orientated music. The music policy is varied, so expect programming spanning the spectrum of house, techno, acid, dub, disco and any other sub-genres in between. You’ll instantly recognise some artists, while others you’ll have never heard of, but one thing you can count on for sure: the music will be exceptional. This is a party that is all about the music—leave your attitude at the door.

This inaugural party introduces an up and coming label, making waves across the underground with its productions: Nous, Greece’s most exciting musical export. This Berlin-based imprint has quickly earned a name for putting out intelligent deep house cuts that effortlessly blend melancholic dissonance with muscular raw jams. Representing the label will be Miltiades and Moodcut (whose EPK.X and Tame Cats EPs have done much to establish this label’s reputation), providing characteristic sets of expansive house for 3 hours.

Headlining the party we are thrilled to have the wonderful Will Bankhead with us for a two hour closing set. As label head of The Trilogy Tapes and Hinge Finger and graphic designer for Honest Jon’s, Hessle Audio, R&S and Mo Wax, this multi-talented man has cemented himself as an underground favourite in London now for some time. Bankhead’s DJ sets are just as exciting as the work around his record labels, drawing from a number of influences (and an exhaustive record collection), so expect the unexpected.

Warming things up, we have our resident DJ, Diego Gamez. Diego has released one EP and a V.A. on the well-established American label, Underground Quality, and will be launching his personal label Deependance Music early this year.

For this party we will be taking over the inimitable venue, Sala Upload. Hidden inside Poble Espanyol on Montjuïc, this amazing location boasts a fantastic sound system, entrancing visuals and a dance-floor large enough to accommodate our moves, and trust us: we’ll be throwing some shapes.
