Play tennis in Barcelona

The Barcelona Tennis Club is open to anyone who is looking for a game of tennis. You can sign up online, rate your ability, and get in touch with people of a similar ability to arrange a match, or take part in the competitions. There is the Open Social Ladder, which you can join for free online. You give yourself a ranking, based on a ranking scheme that’s set up on the website. It’s clearly explained on the site how to rate yourself according to the National Tennis Rating Program, which has some quite specific criteria of what you can and can’t do. For example, you might not be able to do volleys or something. This works well, it’s a good enough indicator of whether you’ll be able to have a decent game. Then it’s up to people to organise their own matches thorough the contact form, deciding when and where to play, whether they want to play singles or doubles, etc. We’re not affiliated to any club, but suggest a couple of tennis courts on our website. There are also competitive matches section with a fee per tournament.
