 | ArtAids continue with their innovative worldwide increase awareness and reflect on the struggle of those living with HIV. ‘On The Outside Looking In’ is an exhibition combining new works exclusively created for ArtAids by ten Barcelonese artists. These resident artists have previously barely touched on the topic of AIDS within their art ensuring fresh and insightful reflections on the ubiquitous problem. Located literally outside in the open space of the Suñol Foundation, the exhibition uses this technique as a starting point for the exhibition. We a outside attempting to look on to the real lives of those living with and around the illness through the use of artistic installations, photography, painting and video. Also in conjunction with the exhibition Casa Asia will show ‘More To Love: The Art of Living Together’, another effort of Art Aids in 2008 which brought together 20 European and Thai artists with those suffering with aids in an attempt to draw attention to the exclusion and stigmatization associated with the illness, seeking to change existing attitudes.
