 | The week of celebrations for all things Mexican returns to Barcelona with the main events over the weekend of the 10th-12th. This includes a host of international Mariachi bands, which are a mixture of stringed instruments and trumpets typical of Mexico. They will play throughout the festival and celebrate Mexican culture with typical food, drinks, exhibitions and films. Most events take place at Poble Espanyol including the festival highlight and not be missed “El Grito” on evening of 15th September. This was the battle cry uttered during the Mexican War of Indepedence and kicks off a night of wild celebrations. |
