 | Arts Santa Monica opens a documentary exhibition that shines a light on the work of one of Catalonia’s most recognized writers Quim Monzó. Born in Barcelona in 1952, Monzó was the author of many stories and novels, press columns, reports on international conflicts, and collaborated with numerous radio and television companies.
The exhibition highlights his work surrounding the 1973 Vietnam War, his work as a designer and comic strip writer, his time in New York at the beginning of the 80s and his influence on Tourette syndrome. The exhibition will focus on his fiction pieces and the reoccurring themes of themes desire, tedium, order, repetition, individualism, gregariousness, the absurd and disappearance.
